What To Do When CoolWallet S Fails Firmware Update

The CoolWallet S comes with over-the-air firmware updates when we support a new token, coin, or platform, and even new functions and card abilities.

If you ever get stuck on an update please do the following:

  1. Make sure your card is charging in the charger before you begin the update. 90% of update issues arise from this.
  2. Make sure the card is facing the correct way on the charger.
  3. Make sure the red light is on.
  4. If this doesn’t solve your problem try turning your CoolBitX Crypto App off then back on, with your card in the charger and restart the process.
  5. Make sure Bluetooth is active on your phone and the CoolWallet S card is showing the Bluetooth sign.
  6. Make sure network connect is strong.

    My coolwallet app is saying there a card update. And after updating I have to restore with my seed…is it mandatory to update…I’m a little nervous about restoring my seed….thank you. Elio

      Please note that, in order to utilize all the available features on our CoolWallet S, it is recommended to update your firmware. However, you will need to recover the wallet data after the firmware update. If you would like to ensure that you have correctly backed up your seed. Please refer to the following steps to retest your seed before proceeding with the firmware update.
