How long does the CoolWallet S battery last, and is it rechargeable?
It’s rechargeable—takes about 4–6 hours to fully charge, with a standby time of around 2–3 months. We recommend charging it at least once a month for best battery performance.
Which blockchains does the CoolWallet S support?
The CoolWallet S supports 14 major chains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Binance Chain, Litecoin, XRP Ledger, Flare, Bitcoin Cash, Horizen, Icon, Stellar, Kinesis Gold, Kinesis Silver, and Songbird. In addition, it supports over 10,000 custom tokens on Ethereum and BSC.
What’s the difference between CoolWallet S and CoolWallet Pro?
Both CoolWallet S and Pro deliver secure crypto storage and trading—including buying and exchanging.
The S is our standard model, while Pro offers advanced capabilities: supports more blockchains and tokens, includes staking, and offers greater DApp and NFT compatibility. Pro also uses a higher-grade CC EAL 6+ secure element, while S uses CC EAL 5+.
If I lose my CoolWallet S, will I lose my crypto assets?
No. Only authorized mobile devices can pair with CoolWallet S—unauthorized devices cannot access your assets. After five incorrect pairing attempts, the card locks. The device also only functions within ~10 m of your paired phone, so remote access is prevented. It's tamper-resistant; disassembly won't expose your CC EAL 5+ secure element.
Most importantly, your crypto is stored on the blockchain—not the device—and can be recovered using your handwritten recovery seed, so losing your CoolWallet S doesn’t mean losing your crypto.
