Does CoolWallet Go need to be charged?
No. CoolWallet Go doesn’t have a battery, so there’s no need to worry about charging. It’s always ready to use.
Why does CoolWallet Go require 2 cards? What’s the difference between them?
Each wallet (recovery phrase) is managed with one primary card and any number of backup cards.
The primary card handles daily access and transactions, while backup cards serve as a secure fallback. A backup card can be instantly converted to a primary card if needed. Once converted, the previous primary card becomes a backup and can no longer authorize transactions—unless it's switched back to primary.
Do I need to use 2 CoolWallet Go cards for the same wallet?
Not required, but highly recommended.
Using a backup card ensures you can still access your assets if the primary card is lost. CoolWallet Go also supports seedless setup (no need to write down your recovery phrase), but this feature is only available when using two cards.
Important: Regardless of your setup, you are solely responsible for securely storing your backup card(s) or handwritten recovery phrase. CoolWallet does not store your recovery phrase and cannot assist in wallet recovery.
What happens if I lose my CoolWallet Go? Will I lose my crypto?
No, your crypto is safe. Assets are recorded on the blockchain, not on the card itself. Even if your CoolWallet Go is lost or stolen, it cannot be paired with another device without your pairing password. After 5 incorrect attempts, the card is permanently locked and cannot be used again.
If you have a backup card and know your pairing password, you can instantly convert the backup card to primary. (We recommend purchasing a new backup card immediately afterward)
If you backed up your wallet using a handwritten recovery phrase, you can restore your wallet on a new CoolWallet Go at any time.
